Welcome

My name is Florin George Bana, and I'm a professional, enthusiastic freelance (self-employed) mountain guide and national tour leader, having as main purpose providing exceptional guided tours services in Romania (Southern Carpathians and Transylvania) and Morocco (High Atlas Mountains and Marrakech), that allow to the clients to experience their destination in an unique way.

My philosophy is to replace the word "clients" with "friends" and to involve you in all stages of the tour (planning, preparation, progress).

Together, we'll plan, step by step, the best holiday for you: we'll mix properly mountain days (which can include one-day hikes, multi-days hikes, trekking, backpacking or snowshoeing) with sightseeing days that will allow you exploring the deepest hidden secrets of medieval Transilvanian Saxon towns or the famous Jamaa el Fna square and the souk (traditional market) of Marrakech. During all my tours you will have permanently in the background profesional advices and maximum care.

Transylvania, with its name coming from Latin – ultra silvam (beyond the forest), is one of the most interesting and surprising regions of Romania. Its German, Hungarian and Romanian cultural traditions play a great role in its cultural and ethnic diversity. The Transylvanian plateau is surrounded by mountain peaks (Carpathian Mountains) and drained by sparkling rivers which makes it both a pleasant place for a relaxing holiday with a landscape pleasing to the eye and an exciting place for adventure-seeking travelers.

Marrakech, known as the "Red City" because of its red pise (dried mud) walls glow in the late afternoons sun. Marrakech has the largest souk in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Jamaa el Fna. The square bustles with acrobats, story-tellers, water sellers, dancers and musicians. By night food stalls open in the square turning it into a huge busy open-air restaurant. The city is the main starting point for the expeditions in High Atlas Mountains offering the opportunity to climb Jebel Toubkal (4167m), the highest summit from North Africa or to plan easy treks through the picturesque valleys and Berber villages.

So, if you want to have a different mountain holiday and to enjoy every single day, just call me or email me to start planning your holiday.
